Alte Utting in Munich

Great location, hope it opens again soon. A nice place with delicious food and good entertainment every time in summer and winter. A bit expensive but every now and then that's okay, often with live acts and a great atmosphere

One of the coolest summer locations in Munich. The old tourist ship on the bridge in Sendling in Munich is a must-see. Whether for a drink or for delicious international snacks, the Utting is a great place to be.

Looking forward to summer when we can sit outside again. Simply beautiful with you.

Perfect implementation for an alternative concept. Always cozy and thanks to the various food stations, there is a large selection of dishes.

Good alternative to the classic beer garden, nice ambience, live music, larger selection of dishes (also vegan). Certainly to be recommended for a somewhat unusual evening. But prices are not necessarily low. 0.33l drinks for € 3.50 and food for € 10 +.

Nice hygiene concept, you sit comfortably in the benches, which are also separated by partition walls. You can be patient for the coffee, as well as for the crêpes. But you sit on a ship and watch the trains. I really enjoy being there.

When you are in the beer garden, you sit nicely in the green. The ambience is nice and invites you to linger. The drinks are really expensive and you wait a long time before you can buy your drink.

Really nice oasis of well-being! The outside area is also much larger than you might imagine from the outside. However, the table numbering could be made better / more logical. We had to search for a while ... and others who came after us wandered around at first.

Everything was very well organized .. I made a reservation online for the jazz breakfast ... super nice staff .... actually wanted to have breakfast, but there was only white sausage breakfast and crepes with different toppings .... We had white sausage breakfast 1 day before ... a shame thought there was a breakfast menu. Well, a richer experience. ? The musicians were great, and the request was wonderfully fulfilled when making reservations close to the music. Thank you! Oh yes ... possibly Also to be mentioned: self-service

The visit to the old Utting was unfortunately disappointing. Queuing for half an hour to get a place in the forest. Hello if I go there, then I want to sit on the ship too. Absolutely not a recommendation

You definitely pay for the location here, the view from the Utting is really beautiful and impressive, but it's all self-service. It is really an extraordinary location. We shared a pizza salami, which unfortunately swam in fat and was heavy in the stomach. The security concept is good, unfortunately not all guests adhere to it.

As always, a pleasant evening. Great hygiene concept, good quality of the drinks. The location is pleasant and very special for Munich. A bit out of the way, but still central.

Is a nice location, especially if you were still on the Ammersee with this ship. The operators try very hard to keep the whole thing alive. But I have to deduct 2 stars because the food offer was extremely limited and there wasn't even butter available for the Bretzen.

The old utting is great, not imitated, but drove on the Ammersee until the resettlement, the operator saved it from being scrapped. Great location, young and middle ages meet mostly live music (sometimes shanties) definitely worth 5 stars. Very good, sometimes exotic cuisine is offered in kiosks, including vegetarian dishes.

Unfortunately, it wasn't as good as expected. It was all rather loveless and you were completely on your own. With the food you bought, you first had to walk through / around the whole ship to get to your seat. We were assigned a table for 7 people, which can accommodate max. 5 people would have been well suited. We think the concept could be improved a lot.

Very cool location with a unique atmosphere. Great care is taken to adhere to the distance rules. At the entrance you get assigned a table directly. When it comes to food, you have the choice between several kitchens. There is also a stand with crepes. Overall, definitely recommendable.

Lovely, different, nice. A ship in the little of the city. Great place for cultural events beyond mainstream.

nice location, food and Drinks moderately something like in a canteen you always have to walk back and forth (self-service!!!) One side in, the other side out and to get a drink or food, all people have to walk past you at the table in bad weather and it is very uncomfortable not everything is covered

Really nice place, so original ! That looks like a festival place, with interesting decoration, and a good ambiance. In the middle of the trees, crossing a boat on a bridge, going to all different food places... i've never been to a place like this, and it's perfect to enjoy a diner with friends or so.

If you would consider surfing in city as totally normal, standard and not worth the hype (Eisbachwelle) you should come to this place. Hang out on an old decommissioned ferry ship placed on a bridge. MS Utting is restaurant, bar, club, beer garden and food corner all together. They're offering Asian, Bavarian, savory and sweet dishes as well as desserts. It's a remarkable place, with lots of seating and a huge outside area. Prices are definitely above average, but still ok. Staff is friendly and fast, the interior and exterior are nicely decorated, everything clean. Food quality is good. Alte Utting is very popular so be sure to book ahead especially in the evenings and on weekends. Definitely recommended!

They switched our table from the Biergarten "due to weather reasons" to the Maschinenraum, which is the worst possible place, deep in the bowels of the ship, surrounded by its walls with very tiny windows. Dark and claustrophobic, on the way of everyone that came in. We went for the sunset, but due to corona restrictions (understandable, of course) we were unable to stay anywhere other than on the reserved table (in a place we didn't choose). Drinks are also expensive. Overall a really unpleasant experience and we'll most likely never come back or recommend it to anyone. You're better off admiring it from afar.

Not easy when you find yourself at the other end and the covid situation gives you only one possible access. On the other hand, we appreciated this food palace which allows a good time with friends.

Really exciting location, an old ship sitting on a bridge. A fun place to hang out. This place is several locations in one, and there are several food stands open at once.

Nice ambience, food was ok...

Nice idea of the boat on the bridge. But... You have to take your food yourself and queuing in different stand if you want different plates. Of course the drink are in a different place. Then after you ate you have to take back exactly where you took the food and drinks... Foods are a bit better than a University cantine.

Very cool place to be but everything else is mediocre. The feeling is as if students are running the place. But nevertheless I would recommend a visit.

Quite an interesting place, love all the levels on the boat. Has quite a grungy feel which gives it character ? Would love to go on a night where there's music though, felt like the vibe wasn't there!
